ASL uses selected artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to support platform development, improve user experience, and assist in internal verification workflows. This page explains how and why AI is used, and – most importantly – what we do not use AI for.
We believe in transparency, data protection, and responsible use of emerging technologies.
1. How ASL Uses AI
AI is used within ASL to support the following areas:
1.1 Content generation
AI tools may be used to:
- create or refine explanatory texts and documentation
- generate images or iconography used on the platform
- improve clarity and quality of user-facing content
All content is reviewed by humans before publication.
1.2 Internal efficiency
AI may assist ASL staff with:
- summarising non-personal information
- drafting support responses
- improving service descriptions
- quality-checking public-facing materials
AI is used as a support tool – not a decision-maker.
1.3 Company verification support
AI may help analyse publicly available business information to streamline manual verification of service companies.
Examples include:
- checking VAT-format validity
- validating structure of registration numbers
- detecting inconsistencies in non-personal business data
Final decisions are always made by a human reviewer.
AI never approves or rejects applications.
2. What AI Is Not Used For
ASL does not use AI for the following:
2.1 No personal data processing
We do not provide personal data, uploaded files, documents, or user-identifying information to AI systems.
This includes:
- names
- email addresses
- phone numbers
- ID documentation
- uploaded service logs
- photos or PDFs attached to QR-tag entries
All personal data stays within the secure ASL infrastructure and is never sent to external AI services.
2.2 No automated technician decisions
AI does not:
- verify technicians
- approve or reject applications
- evaluate uploaded service logs
- determine correctness of maintenance actions
All compliance-related decisions are made by humans.
2.3 No AI-based monitoring or profiling
ASL does not use AI to:
- track user behaviour
- profile companies
- assess technician performance
- conduct predictive analysis on users
We respect user autonomy and privacy.
3. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance
Even when AI is used internally, ASL adheres to strict GDPR requirements:
- No personal data is transmitted to AI tools
- Only anonymised or synthetic data may be used when necessary
- AI is not used for decisions that produce legal or significant effects
- All AI suppliers must meet European data protection standards
Your data remains fully within ASL’s secure EU-based environment.
4. Why We Use AI Responsibly
AI is used to:
- improve clarity and usability
- accelerate non-critical internal tasks
- maintain high-quality documentation
- enhance the overall ASL experience
But it is never used in ways that compromise privacy, trust, or accuracy.
We believe that AI should support professionals — not replace them.
5. Updates to This Statement
As AI technologies evolve, ASL may update this page to reflect new procedures. Any material change will be clearly communicated, and all AI use will remain transparent, optional, and privacy-first.
