Technician Verification

This page explains how user authorisation is handled within ASL and clarifies the responsibilities of verified companies regarding their technicians.

Responsibility Model

ASL verifies organisations, not individual technicians.
Once a company is approved, it is the company’s responsibility to ensure that any technician operating within the ASL platform holds the appropriate trade certifications, legal permissions and professional qualifications required for the work being documented.

ASL does not perform direct verification of individual users.

Company Obligations

A verified company must confirm that:

  • All technicians assigned to the organisation are legally authorised to perform work within the company’s approved trade categories
  • Technicians maintain any certifications or licences required by national or EU regulations
  • Only qualified personnel are granted internal permission to create or modify service records

By approving a technician within the ASL interface, the company asserts that the individual meets all regulatory and professional requirements.

ASL Verification Scope

ASL performs verification only at the organisational level. This process ensures that:

  • The company is legally registered and active within the European Union
  • The company’s requested trade categories are valid and recognised by relevant authorities or industry bodies
  • The organisation is eligible to perform the types of work it intends to document

ASL does not evaluate individual technician qualifications, training or certifications.

Periodic Company Compliance Checks

ASL performs regular reviews to confirm that verified companies continue to meet the required standards.
If a company no longer holds the necessary authorisations for its approved trade categories, access may be adjusted or restricted until compliance is re-established.

Technician access is therefore indirectly dependent on the company’s maintained compliance status.

Technician Access Changes

If a technician leaves a company, their access to ASL is automatically revoked.
Any future activity under a new employer requires approval by the new organisation, under its own set of responsibilities and authorisations.
